The Aspire AWR Calculator has been designed as a decision-making tool to assist you when analysing and choosing the right contracts to issue to your workers. It achieves this by identifying the most cost effective labour solution based on the information you enter.

It has been tailored to include detailed information on the three main contracting methods. These are:

• Pay Comparator from the Outset;
• Pay Comparator after 12 weeks;
• Swedish Derogation.

Once populated, this will help you analyse the financial implications whilst also populating a job database, which can be used as a resource for future contracting.

How it works…

The calculator looks at the pay comparator’s basic pay in order to calculate the cost of equalising pay. It also takes into consideration both Holiday Pay and the Employer’s National Insurance. This will allow you to look at the cost of the worker to your business excluding margins.

The calculator produces a comparable hourly rate as well as the total cost of the contract over the length of the assignment if it is defined. If the length of the assignment is not defined the calculator produces a chart which demonstrates when the cost of a derogated contract (assuming payment of the 4 week minimum payment) becomes cheaper than equalising on pay under a standard contract.
